Laser eye surgery is performed with our Technolas 217P excimer laser. The laser was installed at International Vision Centers in 2010. Technolas is one of the most prominent companies in research and development.
The main features of the Technolas 217P laser are:
- Multidimensional Eye Tracker: this feature “monitors” the position of your eyes during Lasik treatment. If your eye moves a little during treatment, this feature ensures that the laser recognises the movements and adjusts itself accordingly to always perform the perfect treatment.
- Iris recognition: the laser recognises the eye so that the correct information is always on hand. It is impossible to mix up the treatment for each iris, because your iris is comparable to a finger print. During treatment, the laser recognises minute changes in the eye’s position and corrects itself accordingly.
- PTA – Personalised Treatment Advanced: the Technolas 217P is equipped with the latest generation software for custom treatments. This increases the predictability of the treatment even more.
- Built-in cornea thickness meter: during treatment, the built-in cornea thickness meter registers the precise progress of treatment. The equipment monitors your safety during treatment and provides the eye surgeon with all the information required to ensure safety and precision during your treatment.
With FemtoSecond Lasik surgery, the flap is formed by the Intalase FemtoSecond Laser with the utmost precision.
The FemtoSecond laser cuts out the flap in just 20 seconds with the highest degree of precision. During this very short period of time, the laser monitors your eyes and interrupts the treatment if unexpected situations should occur. The surgeon can then continue treatment when ready.
The Intralase FemtoSecond laser makes Lasik much more precise than before and your safety is guaranteed.
All equipment at International Vision Centers is maintained by the manufacturers in accordance with maintenance contracts. Thus, the equipment is always in optimal condition.
